Loco Kitchen + Bar is a newly established restaurant and bar in Brampton, known for outstanding food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for experienced and motivated kitchen professionals to join our Back of House team.

Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and passionate Line Cooks / Chefs to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment where creativity and attention to detail are valued. Candidates should possess excellent serving skills and a solid background in the food industry, including restaurant and kitchen experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining cleanliness standards, and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen.

Duties

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Plate dishes attractively and efficiently for service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts




- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure customer satisfaction
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating needs to management

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Knowledge of various cuisines and menu items is a plus
- Attention to detail in presentation, portion control, and cleanliness
