This posting reflects an existing vacancy within our organization.

Materials Management is part of the Operations division at Dalton and is responsible for control and implementation of the following systems: purchasing, receiving, inventory control, dispensing and logistics of shipping and distribution in compliance with HPFBI GMP guidelines and FDA CFR regulations.

Job Duties:

- Data entry of purchase orders into Dynamics in a timely fashion to assist the Purchaser.
- Physically receive all incoming chemicals, samples, consumables, equipment, glassware for non-GMP or GMP and other packages including documents as per relevant SOPs.
- Data entry of all receivables into Dynamics, logging all materials into manual receiving logbooks as per relevant SOPs.
- Handling and storage of Materials as per relevant SOPs.
- Dispensing of solvents and materials as per relevant SOPs.
- Installing of various gas cylinders as per relevant training.




- Make sure all outbound orders are professionally packed and comply with internal SOPs and packaging protocols.
- Ensure Shipping/Receiving area and Warehouse are clean & organized.
- Assist Materials and Logistics Manager to resolve any problems.
- Ensure waste handling complies with applicable regulations.
- Cover Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Inventory Controller roles as required (e.g. vacations, absences).
- Other duties as required by department manager.

Qualifications & Experience

- Grade 12 or higher.
- Relevant experience in a pharmaceutical environment an asset
- Knowledge or experience working within GMP’s an asset
- Knowledge of inventory control
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
- Knowledge or experience working with Dangerous Goods an asset
- Knowledge of international shipping/receiving regulations is an asset
- Strong English spoken and written language skills required
- Must be able to deal with a high volume of requests
- Be able to work 10:30am – 7:00pm
- Must be detail oriented.
- Critical thinking is required in routine operations.
- Problem solving a must.
- Be able to hand write.
- Computer skills are mandatory. Excel, outlook, browsers, etc.
- Be able to lift at least 40 lbs.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
