Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis
- Prepare animals for procedures by administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures to ensure patient safety
- Maintain accurate medical records, update patient files, and document treatment plans thoroughly
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health strategies
- Support laboratory activities by collecting samples and conducting tests to facilitate swift diagnosis
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Proven laboratory experience with familiarity in performing diagnostic tests efficiently and accurately
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical practices, animal anatomy, and pharmacology
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, multi tasking, and compassion for animals
- Willingness to continuously learn new techniques and stay current with veterinary advancements
