Concierge/Valet Full and/or Part Time

Job Description:
As a Concierge at The Hollis Halifax – a DoubleTree Suites by Hilton you will be integral to our guest experience. Achieving memorable and positive interactions on a daily basis.

- Provide information on points of interest in the area
- Answering guest inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Clear and concise pass-on communication with colleagues and leaders in the department
- Contribute to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm personal service
- Make dining and other reservations for guests and obtain tickets for events.
- Provide information about local features such as shopping, dining, nightlife, and recreational destinations.
- Make travel arrangements for sightseeing and other tours.
- Receive, store, and deliver luggage and mail.
- Perform requests as required by Guest Services team.
- Pick up and deliver items, or run errands for guests.
- Valet guests vehicles.

Job Requirements:

- Outstanding guest service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team player
- Multi-tasking proficiency
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Must have basic computer experience (including but not limited to: Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and property management systems experience is an asset)
- Previous Guest Service experience a definite asset
- Post-secondary education in Tourism and Hospitality or equivalent hotel experience an asset.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts inclusive of evenings, weekends, holidays and occasional overnights.





Must hold a valid Canadian driver’s license, minimum 12 months

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
