Construction Labourer – Commercial Construction

Location: Charlottetown & Summerside, PEI

Reports To: Lead Carpenter/Foreman

Wilmac Construction is looking for hardworking and reliable Construction Labourers to join our growing commercial construction team across Prince Edward Island.

We work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects including fit-ups, renovations, multi-story developments, and agricultural buildings. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, want to gain experience in the construction industry, and are interested in long-term opportunities within a growing company.

For motivated individuals interested in pursuing a carpentry career, apprenticeship advancement opportunities may be available.

Responsibilities

- Assist carpenters, foremen, and site supervisors with construction activities
- Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment
- Perform site cleanup and maintain organized work areas
- Assist with demolition, framing, and general construction tasks
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Follow site safety procedures and company policies
- Work collaboratively with other trades and team members

Qualifications

- Robust work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment
- Previous construction experience considered an asset but not required
- Valid driver’s license considered an asset

Basic PPE Required:

- CSA-approved work boots
- Hard hat
- Safety vest
- Safety glasses

Schedule

- Full time employment
- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 44 hours per week
- Home every night – all projects located within PEI
