Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties

- Prepare and submit OHIP claims accurately using electronic medical records systems
- Verify patient information and details prior to billing
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to facilitate timely resolution
- Maintain detailed records of billing activities and correspondence.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper coding using appropriate medical terminology
- Reconcile accounts receivable and assist in resolving billing discrepancies




- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations to ensure compliance

Requirements

- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare billing setting is preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to billing and insurance claims is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
