Experienced Steel Fitter

Location: Sarnia, OntarioJob Type: Full time, permanent

ProMart Industrial is growing, and we are looking for experienced steel fitters who take real pride in their trade.

Our fabrication schedule is strong, with work secured into 2028 and more opportunities continuing to come through the door. This is steady, meaningful work supporting major petrochemical, nuclear, mining, infrastructure, data centre and industrial projects across Canada.

We are looking for skilled fitters who can read a drawing, lay out accurately, solve problems at the table and produce work they are proud to put their name on. The expectations are high because the work matters.

What You Will Be Doing

- Reading and interpreting structural and miscellaneous steel drawings

- Laying out, fitting and assembling structural steel components

- Verifying dimensions, elevations, squareness and fit before welding

- Reading weld symbols and understanding fabrication requirements

- Using overhead cranes, measuring equipment and fabrication tools safely

- Identifying drawing or fit up issues before they affect production

- Working closely with welders, lead hands, quality control and production management

- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area

- Supporting production schedules and working overtime when required

What We Are Looking For

- Proven experience as a steel fitter in a fabrication shop

- Strong ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings





- Experience fitting structural and miscellaneous steel

- Excellent measuring, layout and basic fabrication math skills

- A practical understanding of weld symbols and welding processes

- The ability to work independently and as part of a production team

- A strong commitment to quality, safety and getting the job done properly

- Reliability, professionalism and pride in your workmanship
