Full-Time Morning Cook

What will you be doing.

- Participates with other members of the Nutritional Care Team in meeting the nutritional needs of all residents in the home
- Preparation of menu and snack items in compliance with the Ministry of Health requirements
- Follow food safety practices, including personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, proper storage, and cleaning procedures
- Regularly monitor and document food safety practices to ensure compliance
- Plating meals and meal delivery to the residents
- Clearing and cleaning dishes, general cleaning duties
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, families, and public
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures,



and legislations

What will you bring along.

- Red Seal Chef, Culinary Management or Equivalent an asset
- Experience in institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality cooking
- Current Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire
- TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.
- Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
