Job Description: Automation Lead

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Waterloo, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week)

Summary

- Seeking an Automation Lead with 7+ years of experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration, automation, and support within enterprise on-premises environments.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support multi-domain/multi-forest Active Directory environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot AD replication, DNS, SYSVOL, trusts, and Group Policies.
- Support Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS/PKI), including certificate lifecycle management.
- Monitor AD health, performance, and availability.
- Develop PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and system health checks.
- Support incident resolution, upgrades, audits, compliance activities, and documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams on authentication and directory services.

Required Skills





- 7+ years of hands-on Microsoft Active Directory administration.
- Strong expertise in AD domains, forests, trusts, FSMO roles, Kerberos, KDCs, DNS, Sites & Services, and replication.
- Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012 and newer.
- Advanced Group Policy (GPO) management and troubleshooting.
- Robust knowledge of OU design, permissions, delegation, security groups, and schema management.
- Hands-on experience with AD CS/PKI, including CA hierarchy design, certificate templates, issuance, renewal, and revocation.
- Experience with DFS/DFSR and SYSVOL troubleshooting.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
