Senior Accountant (hybrid)

CPA firm located in Markham, ON
Salary range: $80,000–$100,000 annually

Responsibilities:

- Prepare financial statements (audit, review, compilation) under ASPE for for-profit and NPO clients
- Assist with IFRS engagements (public company exposure)
- Prepare T1, T2, T3, T3010, T4, T5 filings
- Complete GST/HST/PSB returns
- Support engagement teams and maintain organized working papers
- Communicate with clients to gather required information
- Deliver work within budget and timelines
- Escalate issues and provide status updates to senior team members

Qualifications:

- CPA designated or in progress
- Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of Canadian public accounting experience
- Experience with assurance (audit) and tax (audit)
- Strong knowledge of ASPE/ASNPO; IFRS exposure is an asset
- Proficient in Excel and accounting tools (CaseWare, QuickBooks, Sage, TaxPrep)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace
