Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your skills in cost analysis and project planning.

Duties

- Prepare estimates for various projects based on tender documents, drawings and specifications;;

- Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders;

- Prepare quantity and complexity statements;

- Forward all related documentation to the Chief Estimator prior to bid closure;

- Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and project coordinator in order to obtain all the pertinent information for accurate estimates;

- Periodically report estimating performance to be adjusted with the department’s plan.

Skills

The Estimator role has a professional profile that includes:





· Knowledge, training and ability to optimally use Trimble Autobid Mechanical and Sheetmetal estimating software systems

· Ability to read drawings for all categories;

· Ability to visualize structural elements;

· Good computer skills including MS Excel, MS Outlook, along with ability to quickly learn new applications;

· Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports;

· Excellent math skills;

· Critical thinking and ability to use independent judgment;

· Well organized, with strong prioritizing/planning skills;

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

· Work well under pressure;

· Exceptional customer service approach;

· Dedicated work ethic;

· Ability to work both individually and in a team environment;

Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
