ABOUT US

DS Security Systems is a quick-growing residential security provider specializing in alarm systems, security cameras, and professional monitoring. We're scaling our installation team to meet increasing demand across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

THE ROLE

We're looking for skilled, experienced installers to join our network of trusted subcontractors. You'll install alarm systems and security cameras on residential properties, working independently and dispatched jobs as they become available. This is steady, flexible work with the potential to grow alongside our business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Install residential alarm systems and security camera systems
- Program and configure systems to customer specifications
- Conduct signal checks and system testing post-installation
- Travel to job sites and manage your own time on projects
- Communicate with dispatch about job status, issues, and completion timelines
- Complete job documentation and close out work in our system
- Follow all health and safety protocols
- Travel reimbursement available for jobs outside your primary service area (negotiable)

REQUIREMENTS

- Proven experience installing residential alarm systems and/or security cameras
- Ability to program alarm panels and configure camera systems
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license




- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Willingness to use mobile app (FSM app) for job management and documentation
- Flexible availability (work when jobs are available; no guaranteed hours)
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site

NICE TO HAVE

- Certifications in alarm installation or security systems
- Experience with specific systems (e.g., Ameta, Honeywell, common alarm brands)
- References from previous clients or employers
- Background in residential security or related installation work
- Own tools and equipment

SUBCONTRACTOR AGREEMENT TERMS

- No guaranteed hours or minimum work — dispatch jobs as they become available
- Independent contractor status — you manage your own schedule
- Background check and documentation required before first dispatch
- Warranty covers workmanship only:

- If an issue results from your installation, you cover the service call

- If an issue is parts-related or equipment-related, DS covers the service call cost

- Liability insurance responsibility (to be discussed during onboarding)

Pay: $17.60-$58.12 per hour
