Calling all Registered Early Childhood Educator! Andrew Fleck Children’s Services is hiring at our Forest Explorer Child Care Centre. Come join us and foster meaningful connections to the outdoors for children through innovative programs and transformative learning experiences!

Available from: August 24th, 2026 to December 3rd, 2027

Salary: 27.70 to $32.44 per hour, (Annual- $54,015.00 to $63,258.00)

Compensation Includes: 3 weeks of annual vacation, Perks Plan, Paid sick leave, 2 personal days, Special leave

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, Shifts between 7:15 am and 5:30 pm

Location: Forest Explorer Child Care Centre, 411 Corkstown Rd

*Please note that access to the centre is difficult without a car as there is no public transportation that goes down Corkstown Rd*

In this role you will…





- Participate in a child-focused curriculum where staff and children work together to expand and develop a wide range of skills and competence based on the emergent curriculum philosophy. An emergent curriculum is one that builds upon the interests of the children. It is often spontaneous and responsive to their immediate interests; topics are driven by the ideas and questions from the children themselves
- Engage in caring, curious, and respectful interactions with children to support their growing relationships with themselves, each other, and the natural world
- Actively encourage and promote outdoor learning and play with the children
- Be committed to the welfare and development of all children, and be available for consultation, information, and resources for families and guardians
- Welcome the diversity of all families, role modelling inclusive and accessible language

To qualify for this role…

- Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education
- RECE in good standing with the CECE
- Forest Explorer Outdoor Program/Forest and Nature Practitioner training is an asset
- A keen interest and comfortability in working with children in the outdoors in all weather and all seasons
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a car
- Clear Police Records check completed in last 6 months
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification
- Proven ability to work closely with other team members
- Sensitivity and respect for individual and cultural differences
- Adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of the job
