A Canadian leading distributor in CCTV, Security, Audio, Home Automation, Low-Voltage Wire/Cable, and IT products, is seeking a self-motivated, driven Technical Sales Representative specializing in CCTV, Audio, and Alarm to join the team at our Dartmouth office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess customers’ needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate products, and negotiate prices or other sales terms
- Prepare quotes, process payments and respond to inquiries by telephone, email and/or walk-ins in a timely manner
- Maintain and grow sales relationships with new and existing customers
- Troubleshoot technical problems over the phone, in person, or through remote desktop services
- Develop and maintain technical product knowledge to explain features or complex information to customers in a way that is easily understandable, and answer questions
- Keep customers informed about new technological products
- Use knowledge and training to help customers
- Connect with customers after sale to provide ongoing support
- Resolve product and service related issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

The right candidate for this role will possess:





- Minimum 1 year experience
- Previous experience in the security industry is preferred
- Previous experience in technical sales is preferred.
- Strong technical and networking knowledge with IP cameras
- Valuable understanding of IT products - CCTV, Alarm, and Audio
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to interact with people using tact and diplomacy
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interpersonal skills such as active listening, empathy and patience
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Education or experience in IT, computer science, sales, or marketing is an asset
