Seeking dependable and reliable janitors. The Janitorial worker is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, such as, Cleaning and sanitizing washroom, cleaning offices, Lunch/break/Locker rooms, waste handling and disposal, cleaning hard and soft floors, Other duties as assigned.

The Janitorial worker must comply with Occupational Health and Safety Standards at all times and must be proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Job requirements: Must have some experience. Must have own reliable transportation. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to work with little or no supervision. Must be able work well with others. Must be able to work shift work. Must be bondable and able to pass a Police background check. Must be able to work night shifts as well.

Qualifications:

- Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to set priorities, meet timelines and work independently.
- Reliable and responsible work standards
- Ability to work well with others and also with minimal supervision




- Ability to correctly operate (push, pull, grip) various types of industrial and commercial cleaning equipment, including but not limited to Vacuums, scrubber, Extractors, etc
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. when handling supplies
- Must be able to stand/walk on hard floors for prolonged periods of time without causing undue strain
- Must be able to reach and bend in order to clean high and low surfaces
- Must be able to climb and balance on ladders in order to clean windows, vents, etc.
- General positive health and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position
- Ability to work safely in accordance with all aspects of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 44 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
