TITLE: Mechanical Engineering Technologist REVISION DATE: July 31, 2026

REPORTS TO: Production Manager DEPT: Shop Operations

OVERVIEW:

In this role, you will require a Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma or higher. You will work closely with customers to determine their design needs for more efficient operation of their equipment. Following design, you will work with our vendor network as well as internal sales and other engineering staff to move products from development to delivery. As such, you are a strong and comfortable communicator who can work with people of diverse backgrounds and responsibilities.

You will use 3D modelling software to produce recent designs as well as reverse engineered and improved parts for individual customers. This will require good problem-solving skills, a mechanical aptitude, and strong analytical skills.

This position is in a lean organization which requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to work alone and expedite projects without direction from others. You may be required to travel both within and outside of Canada, for up to a week at a time. Visits with customers will require hands-on analysis of site equipment which at times can be dirty, hot, and loud.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Skill Requirements

- Report to work on time daily with a positive attitude and optimistic outlook.




- Comply with all company rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Wear and respect the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Use 3D modeling software to create products requested by the customer, sales department and Production Manager.
- Create 2D drawings correctly following the Raptor Mining standard.
- Reverse Engineering products with hand measurements, sketches and scan data.
- Read and interpret GD&T.;
- Production support, fabrication and validation.
- Is responsible for the quality of their own work.
- Communicate safety concerns to shop management.
- Communicate ideas for safety and process improvements to shop management.
- All other tasks as assigned by the Production Manager or Raptor management.

Administrative

- Attends regular meetings associated with job (i.e. H&S; meeting, etc.).

Salary:

- From $60,000+ annually based on experience

Education and Experience:

- Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma or higher
