IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently hiring for our client, a growing and well-established machining company, seeking experienced CNC Machinists - 5 Axis to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with competitive pay and excellent advantages.
Shift Details
- Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:45 AM (Monday to Thursday)
- Training will be conducted on the day shift
- Overtime available after 40 hours
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines using CNC controls
- Perform tool setup, calibration, and adjust tool offsets
- Machine parts to specifications based on engineering drawings and customer requirements
- Maintain equipment in protected working condition (cleaning, lubrication, coolant levels)
- Perform general housekeeping including chip removal and maintaining a clean, safe workspace
- Inspect and maintain measuring instruments in compliance with ISO standards
- Follow all company policies, safety standards, and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Red Seal Machinist Certification (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience with 5-axis CNC machining (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience with 3-axis machining (required)
- Strong understanding of machining principles, G & M code
- Experience with Haas CNC machines (NGC Control) is an asset
- Experience working with castings is considered a strong asset
- Robust communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
