Central Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery

Canada

Surgical Medical Office Assistant – Full-Time
Central ENT — a two-surgeon otolaryngology (ENT) practice

$27–$30/hr, based on experience — top of range for candidates with surgical/procedural clinic experience. For candidates with exceptional, directly relevant experience, compensation above $30/hr may be considered.

Mon–Fri 8–4 | In-Office | 3 weeks paid vacation | On-site parking | Health benefit plan available

Target Start Date: As soon as possible (before September 6), or the week of September 27 — we are unable to onboard a new hire between September 7–24.

About the Role
This role is dedicated primarily to one of our two surgeons, working alongside another MOA and support staff, with day-to-day direction from our supervising team lead. This is an in-person, in-office position.

Our clinic moves fast, and priorities shift throughout the day. We need someone calm and detail-oriented who can stay organized on high-volume days, handle stressed or upset patients with professionalism, and work well within a team — taking direction from the team lead, communicating proactively, and collaborating closely with colleagues and the surgeon.

Required:

- 2+ years of MOA or similarly applicable medical office experience
- Proficient with an EMR system
- Comfortable learning sterile processing and clinic protocols (full training provided)

- Based in Kelowna or within a reliable commuting distance

Preferred:

- Surgical or procedural clinic experience
- Proficient with Collaborative Health Record (InputHealth) EMR, or comfortable learning new software independently with minimal training

We're a small, collaborative team, and we're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career with us.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role. For an exceptionally strong candidate, we may consider a 4-day work week once trained, with scheduled days set by the clinic.

To Apply: Submit your resume to [email protected] along with brief answers to the following:

- What specific clinical or procedural tasks have you handled in previous roles (e.g., sterile processing, pre-op/post-op coordination, assisting with in-office procedures)? Please be specific rather than general.
- Which EMR systems have you used?
- When are you available to start? Please note if you're looking to start soon, at the end of September, or on a different timeline.

Preferences will be given to those who write their own responses (instead of an AI one).

Pay: $27.00-$31.00 per hour

Advantages:

- In office parking
- Paid time off

Application question(s):

- Are you currently located in Kelowna BC or able to reliably commute to Kelowna daily for this position.

Work Location: In person
