Job Description for Asphalt Labourer - Raker / Roller/Labourer

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Safely operate roller in continuous overlapping passes over asphalt to be compacted to desired depth and smoothness.
- Operate the roller and other heavy equipment in a safe manner.
- Raking gravel to desired grade.
- Performs daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks to proactively identify any potential mechanical issues.
- Behave in a manner that ensures the safety of themselves, their co-workers, and others on the work sites.
- Comply with established company policies and procedures and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum 3 year experience operating a roller.
- Self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.




- Solid work ethic with demonstrated dedication and reliability.
- Must be able to work as a member of a greater team.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

- Must be available to work long hours
- Must be able to work in extreme heat up to and could exceed 64 Celsius.
- Must have CSA-approved safety boots.
- Able to sit for a long periods and look over shoulder.
- Able to climb up and down from equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

- Brantford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- asphalt raker / roller: 3 years (required)
