Registered Psychologist – Assessment-Focused Role (Part-Time)

Unitive Mental Health & Wellness Clinic is a growing, inclusive, trauma-informed counselling practice dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, OCD, mood disorders, neurodivergence, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

Our multidisciplinary team—comprised of Registered Clinical Counsellors, Social Workers, and a Nutritionist—is based in two locations, one in the heart of Vancouver, and another one central Coquitlam, both just steps from the Broadway–City Hall SkyTrain and Lincoln Station. We offer a collaborative, heart-centered environment where clinicians are supported both clinically and professionally as they build meaningful, sustainable practices.

We are currently seeking a warm, experienced, and clinically grounded Registered Psychologist to join our team, with a primary focus on providing comprehensive psychological assessments for adults, and/or children and youth.

About the Role

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in conducting ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 1), psychoeducational, and other diagnostic assessments. You are able to provide thoughtful, evidence-based recommendations that support clients in better understanding themselves, accessing appropriate supports, and building on their strengths.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a psychologist who is:

- Experienced in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments (preference for adult assessments)
- Skilled in the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and mental health conditions
- Experienced in assessing Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 1)
- Passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals through a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based lens
- Proficient in administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized assessment measures
- Knowledgeable in differential diagnosis and evidence-based assessment practices
- Able to write clear, comprehensive, and timely assessment reports with practical recommendations
- Committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered care




- Comfortable collaborating with physicians, psychiatrists, counsellors, and other professionals
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Motivated to actively build and maintain an assessment caseload

Counselling Skills & Clinical Competencies (Required)

While this role is assessment-focused, strong counselling and relational skills are essential. The ideal candidate:

- Demonstrates the ability to build rapport quickly and create a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space
- Is skilled in engaging clients with empathy, attunement, and clinical presence during assessment processes
- Can support clients in processing assessment findings in a meaningful, strengths-based, and emotionally attuned manner
- Is comfortable navigating sensitive topics, including trauma, identity, and neurodivergence
- Integrates a collaborative approach, ensuring clients feel seen, heard, and involved in the assessment process
- Has experience providing brief therapeutic support or psychoeducation alongside assessment work
- Communicates complex clinical concepts in an accessible, compassionate, and client-centered way

Minimum Requirements

- Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
- Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience conducting psychological assessments
- Experience assessing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other neurodevelopmental or mental health concerns
- Strong familiarity with standardized psychological assessment tools
- Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practices
- Availability for at least one in-person assessment day per week in Vancouver

Additional Assets (Preferred)

- Experience conducting psychoeducational, personality,



or diagnostic assessments
- Experience with complex presentations (e.g., OCD, trauma, mood disorders, executive functioning challenges)
- Experience completing assessments for workplace or academic accommodations
- Training in evidence-based interventions (particularly with neurodivergent adults)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Multilingual abilities an asset
- Experience providing supervision or mentorship

Compensation & Structure:
This is an independent contractor position. Psychologists typically set their own rates (commonly ranging from approximately $200–$350+ per hour for assessment-related services, depending on experience and scope). A percentage split is applied to sessions, with a portion retained by the clinic (which can be discussed and mutually agreed upon). This model allows for both autonomy and strong earning potential while being supported in building a sustainable practice.
