Company Profile & Position Summary

Founded in 1998, LPB Distribution currently serves a large network of retailers, specialized merchants, supermarkets and pharmacies across Canada. Our current product range includes the largest variety of European products in North America. Among others: Confectionery, chips, cookies, truffles, sugar-free chocolates, Dragées de France, Fine food products, natural & organic products, jams, sauces, vinegar, mustard and much more .... We also produce and distribute our own Chocolates. Our main head-office is located in Montreal.

We are looking to develop the region further with a part time on-the-road sales representative for the area of Ottawa and its regions. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong desire to develop and grow a new customer base in its assigned territory.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

A successful Sales Representative will consistently and independently demonstrate the following:

- Locating prospective customers, generating them into leads, and eventually converting them to customers
- Assisting customers as they shop for new products or services




- Making product suggestions according to the wants and needs of customers
- Meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales quotas
- Using solid research skills and deep product or industry knowledge to answer any questions about the product
- Keeping contact lists and following up with current customers to continue building relationship
- Travel by car to all parts of its territory, as necessary, to maintain a face-to-face relationship with customers

Essential Skills and qualifications:

- Demonstrated product knowledge and sales abilities
- Strong public speaking skills to present product or services to customers
- Confidence through strong verbal communication
- Basic Computer Skills
- A proactive approach and professional attitude fueled by initiative
- Organizational skills and the independent abilities

Requirements

- At least 1+ years experience in sales, experience in food and confectionary is an asset
- A car is a must in order to easily cover Ottawa, Gatineau and South eastern Ontario.

Pay: $30,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
