Position: Prep Cook
We are currently hiring a Prep Cook to support our culinary team at our Ellerslie location. The ideal candidate thrives in a quick-paced environment, pays attention to detail, and values cleanliness and consistency in food preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for daily service (vegetables, sauces, marinades, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations and coolers
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines accurately
- Support cooks team as needed during service
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or prep role preferred
- Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions
- Good knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques
- Ability to work standing for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Part-time applicants must have flexible availability
Assets (Preferred but not required):
- Valid Food Handling Certificate
- Valid Work Permit (if applicable)
- Familiarity with Brazilian or Latin American cuisine is a plus
