Wage: Junior $24.00 – $29.00 per hour (Based on experience)

About Us

Cutting Bros. Inc. is a family of fourth-generation carpenters known in Muskoka and surrounding areas for quality conventional and timber framing. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Junior or Senior timber framer to work with our team and ensure top-notch craftmanship.

Responsibilities - General

- Assist senior framers in cutting, shaping, and assembling wooden structures
- Read and interpret tape measures accurately
- Safely operate hand tools (chisels, handsaws, squares, etc.)
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Work at heights when necessary, adhering to all safety protocols

Senior Responsibilities (including general responsibilities)

- Layout, measure and cut timbers with precision
- Lead small timber installation projects at various job sites
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior team members
- Coordinate with management as needed

Qualifications & Skills

- Minimum 1 year of construction experience
- Basic carpentry skills and familiarity with building knowledge
- Comfortable working at heights
- Motivated, hard-working, and a team player
- Ability to work independently under supervision




- Basic math and geometry knowledge is an asset

Senior Specific Qualifications

- 5 years+ timber framing experience
- Advanced knowledge of carpentry techniques and timber frame methods
- Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding structural layouts
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage small crews
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Solid math and geometry knowledge

Additional Requirements

- Valid driver’s license (Preferred)
- Working at Heights certification (Preferred)
- Own transportation (Preferred)
