Automotive Lot & Sales Assistant

GTA Gallery Ltd. is a growing independent used vehicle dealership in Victoria. We are looking for a reliable, energetic person who can help keep the lot, vehicles and day-to-day operations organized while also assisting customers and supporting vehicle sales.

This is not strictly a salesperson position. The role will initially be approximately 70% vehicle preparation and lot operations and 30% customer and sales support.

The right person will be comfortable working independently, taking initiative and doing a mix of physical and customer-facing work. This is a part-time position to start, with a genuine opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the dealership expands.

Responsibilities

- Move, organize and stage vehicles on the lot
- Wash vehicles and complete basic interior and exterior detailing
- Keep the dealership lot, exterior areas and workspaces clean
- Remove garbage and help maintain a professional appearance
- Prepare vehicles for photos, test drives and customer delivery
- Take clear vehicle photos and short videos
- Help upload or post vehicle inventory online
- Greet customers and answer basic vehicle questions
- Assist with test drives
- Respond to basic customer inquiries by phone, text or online
- Help ensure vehicles have fuel, plates, keys and required documents ready
- Assist with vehicle pickups, deliveries, parts runs and dealership errands
- Support the sales team wherever needed

What we are looking for

- Valid BC driver’s licence and a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving and parking a wide range of vehicles
- Reliable, punctual and able to work without constant supervision
- Friendly and professional with customers
- Comfortable using a smartphone to take photos, videos and respond to messages
- Able to perform physical work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail




- Willingness to clean vehicles and complete hands-on lot work
- Some weekend availability
- Interest in cars or automotive sales is an asset
- Previous detailing, dealership, customer service or sales experience is helpful but not required

Compensation

- $22–$25 per hour
- $200–$500 commission for vehicles personally sold
- Approximately 20–30 hours per week to start
- Opportunity to move into a full-time position
- Opportunity to take on more sales responsibility and earn additional commission
