We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our busy family practice in the heart of Kitsilano! In this vital role, you will provide top-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health, and support overall treatment plans. Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient assessments, including medical history updates and vital signs
- Support the dental team with chairside assistance during procedures such as orthodontics or pediatrics treatments
- Manage patient records using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring a comfortable experience
Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing
- Experience with Cleardent or other dental office management software preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- 2 plus years of experience
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient interaction
