Cadenza Music & Art Academy is a growing music school in North Vancouver dedicated to providing exceptional music education in a welcoming, inspiring, and student-centered environment.

Our academy offers private lessons, group classes, workshops, and performance opportunities in a beautiful, purpose-built facility featuring professional teaching studios and a dedicated recital hall.

As our student community continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Piano Instructor to join our teaching team as an independent contractor.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated piano instructor who enjoys working with children, teens, and adults while delivering engaging, personalized lessons in a positive and supportive environment.

This is an hourly contract position, with teaching hours scheduled based on student enrolment and instructor availability. There is excellent potential to build a consistent student roster over time.

Responsibilities

- Teach one-on-one piano lessons to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Develop engaging and individualized lesson plans.
- Encourage students' musical growth, confidence, and enjoyment.
- Prepare students for recitals, performances, and examinations where appropriate.
- Maintain professional communication with students and parents.
- Participate in academy recitals and special events.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who have:

- Formal music education (degree, diploma, conservatory training, or equivalent professional experience).
- Previous piano teaching experience.




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A qualified, reliable, and positive attitude.
- A genuine passion for music education.

Assets include:

- Experience preparing students for RCM, ABRSM, or other examination systems.
- Experience teaching children, teens, and adults.
- Music theory instruction.
- Accompanying or collaborative piano experience.

Schedule

This is a contract-based position with teaching hours assigned according to student demand and your consistent weekly availability.

Availability on weekday afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends is preferred.

North Vancouver, BC
