General Description

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, delivery, and administration of the Niitsitapi Educational Assistant Certificate Program at Red Crow Community College. Working collaboratively with instructors, students, Elders, community partners, and College departments, the Program Lead provides leadership in program planning, student success initiatives, and day-to-day operations. The Program Lead ensures the program is delivered in accordance with college policies, funding requirements, and the values and traditions of the Niitsitapi people. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and supportive learning environment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide leadership and oversight for the Niitsitapi Educational Assistant Certificate Program.
- Coordinate program delivery, scheduling, and daily operations to ensure effective program implementation.
- Supervise and support instructors, staff, and students throughout the program.
- Course instruction, student evaluation, and ensuring course requirements are met
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and academic success within the program
- Ensure program compliance with College policies, accreditation standards, and funding requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, community members, Elders, and external partners.
- Prepare and maintain program records, reports, budgets,



and statistical data as required.
- Collaborate with other departments within Red Crow Community College to support student services and program objectives.
- Promote and incorporate Niitsitapi culture, language, and ways of knowing into program delivery whenever possible.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the position.

Necessary Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

Master’s Degree in Education or a related discipline is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in program coordination, educational leadership, or post-secondary education is preferred.

Experience supervising staff and supporting adult learners is an asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, databases, student information systems, and the learning management system Moodle.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Working knowledge of the Blackfoot language and an understanding of Niitsitapi culture, traditions, and protocols is considered a strong asset.
