We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Casual Maintenance Technician to assist with renovation, installation, and general property improvement projects throughout our hotel.

This is a casual, on-call position ideal for someone who enjoys project-based work and is comfortable completing a variety of practical tasks. The successful candidate will work independently and alongside the hotel’s management and maintenance teams to help improve and maintain the property.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete painting, patching, touch-ups, and other renovation-related work
- Assemble and install furniture, shelving, fixtures, hardware, and hotel equipment
- Assist with room renovations and general property improvement projects
- Replace or install items such as curtain rods, artwork, mirrors, locks, handles, and light fixtures
- Move furniture, supplies, and materials as required
- Complete minor repairs and finishing work throughout guestrooms and common areas
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Protect hotel furniture, flooring,



and guest areas while completing projects
- Identify maintenance concerns and report them to management
- Follow hotel safety procedures and applicable workplace regulations
- Complete other project-based maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Previous experience in maintenance, renovations, construction, painting, carpentry, or a related field is preferred
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Robust attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned projects
- Reliable, organized, and able to follow instructions
- Professional and respectful when working around guests and hotel employees
- Ability to safely lift and move furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Flexible availability based on project requirements
- Valid driver’s licence and access to transportation are considered assets

Pay: $22.00 per hour
