Crosslink Transportation Systems is based out of the Surrey, BC area and is currently seeking Class 1 drivers to drive long-haul flatbeds in our North American lanes. Crosslink has robust contacts to provide year-round work and has friendly professional staff. We are looking for drivers committed to teamwork and safety. Drivers must be able to travel to the US.

Position: Long-Haul Truck Driver

Permanent Position

$29.00/hr

Location: Across Canada and the United States-Excl. Hawaii

DUTIES- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Make sure the truck is in proper working condition before setting off & perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on every trip.- Oversee the condition of your vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.- Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.- Assist in loading goods on the truck and ensure they are stacked,



tarped and secured properly.- Take inventory of loaded goods to make sure that the correct quantity is loaded.- Maintain and complete daily log-books using electronic data systems.- Transport goods over long distances; check on cargo at every stop during the long haul and in accordance to DOT requirements.- Plan travel schedules and routes, use atlases and other trip planning aids.- Drive as a two-person team when necessary.- Maintain courteous and cordial relationships with shippers and receivers through good timely communication.- Receive and relay information to central dispatch- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption- Perform preventive maintenance

SKILLS

Valid (Class 1) Driver's Licence*

No experience necessary, we will train*

Current CVOR in good standing.

Current Criminal Record Search - we can assist you with this.

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Valid US VISA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 70.0 per week
