SFU's Big Data Hub helps faculty and businesses uncover opportunities to leverage big data, AI, and the latest research and insights to improve products, services or processes. They provide training and education as well as consulting services on AI and data analysis.

About the Role

The Director, Big Data Hub provides direction and oversight over all of the University Core Facility (UCF) activities,



including leading a team of qualified and clerical staff, to grow the initiative and position SFU as a trusted advisor and leader in the field. The role provides leadership to all UCF operations, oversees research design, oversees annual operating, capital, and revenue budgets and is responsible for establishing and ensuring that revenue and research income targets are met. The role is responsible for strategic planning to ensure the long-term sustainability of the UCF, including developing and implementing strategies to advance strategic priorities and opportunities, improve operations, and launch and expand initiatives, products, and services. The role establishes policies, procedures, and processes for partner engagement, business development, and service delivery, including facility management.
