Job description:

Everlasting Colour is looking for experienced, professional painting subcontractors to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial painting and are looking for experienced, reliable professionals who take pride in their craftsmanship, maintain high standards, and are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Experience Requirements

Applicants must have:

- A minimum of 5 years of professional painting experience
- Strong residential interior and exterior painting experience
- Experience with drywall repairs, including:
- Nail holes and dents
- Cracks
- Small drywall patches
- Sanding and surface preparation
- Experience with caulking, priming, cutting, rolling, brushing, and applying clean, even finishes
- Experience using a paint sprayer is considered an asset but is not mandatory

Mandatory Business and Safety Requirements

Applicants must provide:

- A valid WSIB Clearance Certificate
- A minimum of $2 million in Commercial General Liability Insurance
- Valid Ontario business registration
- A valid Working at Heights certificate
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s licence
- Their own professional painting tools and equipment
- Proof that they are legally entitled to work in Canada

Additional Requirements

Applicants must:

- Be punctual, dependable, and professional
- Communicate clearly with homeowners, contractors, and project managers
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Follow written scopes of work, schedules, and company standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Treat customers’ homes and belongings with care and respect
- Use proper floor, furniture, and surface protection
- Be willing to correct legitimate deficiencies or callbacks
- Own a smartphone and be able to receive schedules, job details, photos,



and updates
- Maintain a drug- and alcohol-free workplace
- Be willing to wear company-branded clothing while onsite, when provided
- Complete a workmanship interview and skills assessment
- Complete a paid trial project before being considered for ongoing work
- Provide photos or a portfolio of recent painting work

Applicants must also be in good standing with WSIB and their insurance provider and must not have any restrictions that would prevent them from legally or safely completing the required work.

Preferred Qualifications

The following are considered assets:

- Experience with Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Dulux, or other premium paint products
- Experience using a paint sprayer
- Ownership of spray equipment

Compensation is based on experience, workmanship, reliability, and project scope.

Qualified subcontractors will earn 50%–60% of the contract value for completed projects. The exact percentage will be determined based on experience, quality of work, efficiency, and the ability to complete projects independently while maintaining Everlasting Colour's standards.
