Job Overview

We're a small boutique company looking to grow our team. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Maker/Woodworker to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and installing custom cabinetry and woodwork primarily for residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in woodworking, carpentry, and cabinet making, with a keen eye for quality craftsmanship. Experience with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and various construction techniques is essential. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing a wide range of tools and skills to create functional and aesthetically pleasing wood products.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute custom cabinetry and woodwork projects
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinets, furniture, and other wood components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment
- Perform precise measurements and layout work to ensure proper fit and finish of all projects
- Bonus points for skills in restoration, cabinetry installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting as needed for project completion
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols




- Assist with material estimation and project planning to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout each project phase
- Collaborate with project managers to meet specifications and deadlines

Qualifications

- Proven experience in woodworking or cabinetry fabrication with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for complex designs
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of construction techniques including, flooring installation, tile laying, and construction painting is a bonus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills
- Prior experience in restoration or handyman services is a plus
- Construction experience across various trades such as carpentry or reonvations is highly desirable
- Ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously while working in diverse environments

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
