Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Hand to join our team in Peterborough and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Manage on-site teams, providing guidance and supervision.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules, making adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the construction process.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera P6 for project tracking.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
- Qualifications
- Proven leadhand experience in residential construction or related fields.
- Solid knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6.
- Excellent blueprint reading and schematic interpretation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and perform accurate construction estimating.
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams.
- Knowledge of quality control processes within construction projects.
- Effective communication skills in coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
