Haida Tourism is a Haida-owned company, owned and operated by Haida Enterprise Corporation (HaiCo). Reporting to the Manager, the housekeeper will be responsible for general cleaning of Haida House guest rooms and public spaces to ensure guests receive the highest standard of cleanliness and service. The hours of work will include evenings and weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Follow regular cleaning schedules

- Clean assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures to established housekeeping procedures

- Wash and sanitize room showers, toilets, mirrors, and sinks

- Vacuum carpets and clean floors

- Regularly replace and restock room amenities

- Remove all used bed linens and replace them with fresh linens





- Regularly check if room lighting and appliances are working and report any issues to the Head Housekeeper

- Move furniture and set up for events when required

- Empty and clean garbage and wastebaskets

- Comply with work safety practices and ensure health and safety procedures are followed

- Other related duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Ability to work in fast paced workplace

- Organization skills

- Positive attitude, able to take direction and work in a team environment

- Knowledge of laundry operations

- Knowledge of health and safety standards

- Must be willing to work flexible hours, weekends, Evenings, and mornings

TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Experience in housekeeping is considered an asset.

- Valid BC Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle
