Class 3 with air Driver (Water Truck)

Join our team as a Water Truck Driver, where you'll play a key role in keeping construction and landscaping sites safe and efficient. You'll operate and maintain a water truck for dust control, compaction, and irrigation while ensuring environmental compliance and supporting daily project operations.

Job Duties:

Water Truck Operation:

- Operate water truck to transport and distribute water to various parts of the job site for dust control, compaction, or irrigation.
- Apply water in controlled amounts to designated areas, ensuring that the correct water level is applied.
- Ensure that all operations are conducted safely, avoiding obstacles, personnel, and other equipment.
- Maintain awareness of environmental conditions, such as weather, that may affect water distribution requirements.

Truck Maintenance:

- Perform pre-operation checks on the water truck to ensure it is in proper working order.
- Inspect water tanks, hoses, and spray systems for proper function and safety.




- Ensure that the truck is properly cleaned and maintained after use.
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the supervisor for timely repairs.
- Regularly check and maintain water levels in the truck to ensure sufficient water for the day’s operations.

Site Coordination:

- Coordinate with site foremen or supervisors to determine areas that need water application, such as for dust control or irrigation.
- Work with other equipment operators and field personnel to ensure smooth site operations.
- Follow job site instructions and ensure that all water delivery tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that water distribution does not negatively affect surrounding areas or equipment.

Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the water truck.
- Maintain safe working conditions by following established traffic control and road safety practices.
- Ensure that all activities are compliant with environmental guidelines related to water use.
- Perform daily safety checks and report any hazards or unsafe conditions on site.

Results Expected:

- Water truck is operated efficiently, ensuring the project’s dust control and irrigation needs are met.




- Equipment is maintained in good working condition and operational at all times.

- Job site is kept safe, clean, and organized.
- Timely and effective communication with team members and supervisors ensures smooth operations.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License, with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience operating water trucks or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of water truck operation, including maintenance, hose connections, and water distribution.

Skills:

- Strong ability to operate large commercial vehicles and heavy equipment safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to stay organized and manage time efficiently.

Work Conditions:

- Work will be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, and dust.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional night shifts as required by the job site.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and work near other equipment and vehicles on the job site.
