Engtec Consulting Inc. is currently looking for Lab/Field Technicians in its London office. Chosen candidates will carry out testing of soil, asphalt, and concrete. Opportunities to learn and conduct more complex geotechnical and materials inspections will become available as experience is gained. Carrying and use of test equipment involves some effort of a physical nature. There may be a requirement to work overtime, nights, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

· Knowledge of Aggregate lab testing will be an asset.

Conduct in-situ testing and compaction testing of various materials as well as engineering fill compaction

· Concrete testing and sampling

· Preparation of field reports, documenting equipment used, test locations, and results

Qualifications

· Must own a vehicle and hold a Valid (G-Level)



Ontario Driver's License as travel will be required to job sites

· Must be willing to work in both the field and office

· Must be adaptable, well organized, able to carry out assignments with minimal supervision

· Strong report writing skills and verbal communication in English are essential

· Able to effectively and proactively respond to time-sensitive issues

Must have valid study or work permit with a minimum expiry of six months

Education

· Completion of a High School Diploma (mandatory)

· 2-year College Civil Technician Diploma (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
