About Vermax

Vermax Group Inc. is a boutique immigration and workforce solutions firm built on solid values, professional excellence, ethics, and genuine care for our clients, employees, profession, community, and country.

We are seeking an exceptional person who wants more than a job. This is a career opportunity for someone who wants to learn, grow, contribute, and become deeply connected to meaningful work.

The Person We Are Looking For

You are affable and enjoy working with people, but you are equally comfortable spending several focused hours completing a complex form, researching a legal issue, or refining a written submission.

You have the right balance of introvert and extrovert: personable and confident when dealing with clients, but thoughtful, analytical, disciplined, and comfortable working independently.

The ideal person brings together three essential qualities:

Strong analytical and advocacy skills: You are curious, persuasive, and interested in laws, regulations, evidence, and well-reasoned arguments.

Empathy and patience: You understand that immigration decisions can profoundly affect a client and their family, and you treat each person with care, dignity, and respect.

Precision and discipline: You are organized, systematic, deadline-conscious, and fastidious about documents, forms, dates, numbers, and details.

You understand that completing the hundredth application requires the same care and attention as completing the first. You can think like an immigration officer while acting as a strong advocate for the client. You are firm but polite, recognize urgency, protect deadlines, and understand that the quality of your work matters.

You should also be:

- Ethical, dependable, and guided by sound judgment

- Comfortable admitting and correcting mistakes
- Creative, resourceful, and willing to propose solutions
- Highly proficient with technology and enthusiastic about AI and emerging tools
- Able to succeed in a fast-paced and sometimes unstructured environment
- Interested in continuous personal and professional development
- Prepared to begin with the fundamentals and earn greater responsibility through demonstrated ability

Vermax invests significantly in training and mentorship. The starting salary reflects that initial investment, but the right person will be trained by highly experienced professionals and will have meaningful opportunities for advancement, leadership, and potentially pursuing the Queen’s University Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law.

Responsibilities

- Research immigration laws, regulations, programs, procedures, records, and supporting documentation
- Prepare immigration applications, forms, submissions, and correspondence under professional supervision
- Review evidence and identify facts that support strong written arguments
- Proofread forms and documents with exceptional accuracy
- Manage files through all stages, from opening to completion and closing
- Track deadlines, expiry dates, appointments, and time-sensitive requirements
- Communicate professionally with clients by telephone and email
- Coordinate information and documentation between clients and the Vermax team
- Maintain organized electronic records and filing systems
- Compile data, statistics,

and information to support consultants and company operations
- Perform other administrative and professional support duties as required

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary education
- Outstanding English writing and communication skills
- Fluency in Spanish
- Strong interest in immigration law and practice
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
- Critical, analytical, and solution-oriented thinking
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
- Professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information
- Strong client-service and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and related technology
- Confidence learning and using AI, digital platforms, and new systems
- Ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Compensation and Benefits

- Starting pay of $22.00 per hour, with advancement based on performance, development, and experience
- Health expense account and other benefits following successful completion of the three-month probationary period
- Extensive training and professional mentorship
- Opportunities for career advancement and increased responsibility
