Job Summary
The Property Maintenance Coordinator is primarily responsible for the maintenance, safety, and physical condition of our outdoor market. This role ensures that all facilities, equipment, and grounds are clean, functional, and compliant with regulations, while supporting a safe and welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities

Site Maintenance & Upkeep (Primary Focus)

- Oversee daily cleaning and maintenance of market grounds, including waste removal and public washrooms
- Inspect and maintain physical infrastructure such as fire pits, seating areas, benches, doors, and washrooms.
- Identify hazards (uneven surfaces, damaged equipment, weather-related risks) and address them promptly with ownership
- Restock washroom and cleaning supplies as needed

Health, Safety & Compliance

- Conduct routine safety inspections and maintain compliance with local bylaws, fire codes, and health regulations
- Ensure protected crowd flow, accessibility, and clear emergency access routes
- Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance activities

Operational Support

- Assist with market setup logistics, including layout adjustments based on safety and maintenance needs




- Support ownership with receiving of deliveries, removal of boxes, and general manual labour as needed
- Monitor site conditions during market hours and respond quickly to maintenance concerns

Qualifications

- Experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or site operations
- Working knowledge of basic repair, maintenance practices, and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting, walking, and working outdoors in varying conditions
- Familiarity with local health and safety regulations is an asset

Working Conditions

- Fully outdoor work environment in all weather conditions
- Wednesday-Sunday, plus Holiday Mondays, with occasional extended hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
