JOB DESCRIPTION

Bouquet Café is Vancouver's only flower shop and coffee bar — a family-owned space at 1418 Robson Street in the West End. We have been featured by Vancouver Is Awesome, Daily Hive, and Eatcouver. We are hiring a part time barista to join our small, dedicated team.

THE ROLE

You will prepare specialty espresso drinks, matcha lattes, premium teas, and our seasonal signature menu for a loyal and growing customer base. You will also maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the entire café space and occasionally support the floral side of the business when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare all espresso drinks, matcha lattes, iced drinks, and seasonal signature creations to a consistent standard.
- Deliver warm, energetic, genuine service to every customer.
- Maintain a clean bar, seating area, floors, washroom, and outside seating throughout your shift.
- Complete opening or closing duties as assigned, fully and to standard.
- Take garbage and recycling to the building garbage room as required.
- Assist the floral section when asked.
- Process all transactions accurately through our point-of-sale system. We are a cashless café.

- Ability to follow a strict no-phone policy on the café floor during shifts.
- Willingness to take direction from management and follow procedures precisely.
- Barista and café experience is required.

- A 3-month probationary period applies.
- Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance. Availability must be submitted 4 weeks in advance.
- If you cannot attend a posted shift, finding a cover is your responsibility.
- No vacation time off is approved during the first 3 months.
- All staff sign our Staff Code of Conduct & Workplace Policy on their first day.
