Role and Responsibilities

Employees are expected to:

- · Know Hwy #4 to Tofino
- Hold a valid BC driver’s license, prefer Class 2 unrestricted
- · Operate up to 24 passenger buses
- · Complete all pre/post-trip inspections and the necessary paper work for submission monthly
- · Meet and greet passengers for transport to and from Departure Bay, Nanaimo
- · Work with the general public
- · Drive in a secure and comfortable manner (max drive-time between breaks 2hrs:30min)
- · Complete a computer generated ‘Reconciliation Report’ following each shift, at home
- · Have the ability to lift 50 pounds
- · Present a driver’s abstract and complete a criminal record check
- · Accept credit & debit payments on Square, when required, and report them accurately (Reconciliation Report)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Candidates are expected to hold a:

· Class 2 BC license and are to fulfill all required inspections and paperwork. Class 4 unrestricted, up to 24 pax is also accepted however the units are big and Class 2 is better suited.

· Basic computer literacy for:

o Obtaining the day’s driving shift instructions and daily passenger manifest

o Completion of a daily ‘Reconciliation Report’ at the end of the day

· Basic mathematics





· Customer service background

Summary

As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers while providing excellent customer service. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role requires strong communication skills and a Class 4 unrestricted, preferably Class 2 Licence. Holding a First Aid Certification is recommended . Core competencies include commercial driving and basic math for route planning. Your experience with the general public, will enhance interactions with diverse passengers. Additionally, mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform heavy lifting are essential for maintaining the bus and ensuring a smooth operation. Pay: From $251.13 per day
