About the Position

EverBond Interface Technologies is seeking a motivated recent graduate to join our research and development team under the NRC IRAP Youth Employment Program.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on industrial R&D; experience in polymer synthesis, materials characterization, coating development, and performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct research on reactive polymer coatings for hazardous chemical decontamination.

· Synthesize and characterize polymer composite materials.

· Design and perform laboratory experiments to evaluate coating performance.

· Operate analytical and mechanical testing equipment.

· Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports and presentations.

· Collaborate with researchers and engineers on product development activities.

· Maintain laboratory records and follow safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

· Recent graduate in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, or a related field.

· Research experience in polymer synthesis, materials development, or related areas.





· Robust data analysis and technical/scientific writing skills.

· Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with polymerization techniques.

· Experience with FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, GC-MS, SEM, or related analytical methods.

· Knowledge of polymer coatings, composite materials, or surface engineering.

· Experience with hazardous chemicals, decontamination technologies, or environmental remediation.

NRC IRAP Youth Employment Program Eligibility

· Under 30 years of age at the start of employment.

· Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

· Legally entitled to work in Canada.

· Post-secondary graduate within the last five years.

Position Details

· Start Date: September 1, 2026

· Duration: 8 months, with potential extension to a maximum of 12 months, subject to project needs and funding availability.

· Compensation: $30,000 for the initial 8-month term

Location: Waterloo, Ontario (In Person)

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
