Job Description

Latincouver Cultural and Business Society is a non-profit organization that brings together Latin Americans and Latin enthusiasts living in Vancouver to strengthen and celebrate the richness of our businesses and cultures. Our four pillars are:

- Promoting Culture: We promote cultural diffusion of Latin America in the Canadian context promoting and enriching bilateral cultural support.
- Connecting Business: We provide possibilities for Latino entrepreneurship with effective management, thus generating assertive business links in Canada.
- Supporting Community: We watch over a community in Latin America with cohesion and mutual support, giving rise to growth with firm roots.
- Empowering People: We generate growth possibilities and empowerment of enthusiastic Latin Americans seeking opportunities in Canada.

Description:

This is a volunteer position. The Customer Engagement plays an important role in supporting programs participant, community engagement, and coordination services throughout the participant journey, from outreach and recruitment to practicum placement and employment transition.

Working closely with the Program Coordinator, training provider, and project team, the Customer Engagement contributes to participant retention, engagement, successful program completion, and positive employment outcomes.

Responsibilities:

- Act as a local point of contact for participants.
- Help maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders and community partners.
- Maintain organized documentation related to participant support and coordination activities.
- Prepare reports, summaries, participant tracking updates, and other administrative documentation as required.
- Participate in scheduled coordination meetings with the project team.
- Support outreach, recruitment, and community engagement activities to help identify potential program participants.
- Conduct regular participant check-ins to support engagement, attendance, and retention throughout the program.
- Support participant communication during training, practicum,



and employment transition stages.

Requirements and skills:

- Strong interpersonal, communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills.
- Robust self-direction, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong coordination, administrative, and documentation abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, sound judgment, and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to support in-person engagement and coordination activities within Kamloops.
- Experience preparing participant tracking updates, reports, and program-related documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual communication platforms.
- Knowledge of community resources and employment support organizations in Kamloops.
- Experience working with training programs, employment initiatives, or community-based projects.
- Experience supporting recruitment, intake, or participant screening processes.
- Experience coordinating with employers, practicum sites, or community stakeholders.
- Spanish or Portuguese are considered an asset.
- ClickUp, Slack and Google Workspace are considered an asset

Please note: Tasks and responsibilities may be flexible and can vary based on the organization’s evolving needs

Working hours: 15-20 hours per week (3 months)
