About Providence Christian School

Providence Christian School is a growing K–12 Reformed Christian school in Monarch, Alberta. We seek a qualified Grade 6–10 teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

Job Duties

· Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned with the Alberta curriculum.

· Teach assigned Grade 6–10 subjects.

· Integrate a Reformed Christian worldview into instruction and participate in faith-based activities.

· Develop lesson plans, assessments and instructional materials.

· Assess student progress and prepare report cards.

· Maintain student records and communicate with parents.

· Maintain a positive classroom environment.

· Supervise students during school activities.

· Participate in meetings, curriculum planning and professional development.

· Collaborate with staff and parents.

· Comply with Alberta Education requirements and school policies.

· Perform other related teaching duties assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent.

· Eligible for an Alberta Interim or Professional Teaching Certificate.





· Experience teaching Grades 6–10.

· Strong classroom management and communication skills.

· Demonstrate an understanding of Christian-based education and a willingness to support the mission and values of Providence Christian School.

· Preference will be given to candidates familiar with the Reformed Christian tradition and its educational philosophy.
