Cuckoo Cakery is a luxury-yet-approachable cakery cafe known for chiffon cakes, Basque burnt cheesecakes, cookies, pastries, and artisanal drinks - all made with premium, natural ingredients. We take pride in crafting every item in-house with care, precision, and heart.

We're looking for Assistant Pastry Cooks to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on pastry experience who can execute recipes with consistency and take ownership of product quality. If you're passionate about baking, have a sharp eye for detail, and love working in a creative kitchen, we'd love to meet you.

Duties

- Prepare and bake buns, cookies, pastries and cakes according to recipes and standards
- Perform dough/batter handling, shaping, piping, baking, cake decoration and finishing with minimum supervision
- Assemble and decorate cake with a refined eye for aesthetics, detail, and elevated presentation
- Maintain product consistency, freshness, and visual quality across all items
- Uphold cleanliness, organization,



and food-safety best practices at all times
- Assist with new product development or special orders
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service, smooth operations and customer satisfaction

Requirements

- 1-3 years of experience in a professional pastry or bakery environment preferred
- Hands-on experience with cake decorating and finishing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Solid knowledge of food handling techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment
- Valuable communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude are a must
- A passion for artisanal baking and willingness to learn and grow
- Able to work early mornings, evening/night shifts, weekends and holidays as required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
