Job description

Pride Pak Canada is Canada’s largest processor of fresh fruits and vegetables, located in Mississauga. We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team!

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our facility. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring machinery and building systems operate efficiently, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to equipment and facility management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all maintenance and repair activities across the facility.
- Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Manage maintenance budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Schedule regular inspections and generate reports on machine and system conditions.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, safety, quality) to minimize disruptions.
- Source and manage contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for equipment, systems, and processes.
- Liaise with the production department to monitor and maximize machine efficiency,

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Manager,



Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role in a production manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Working knowledge and experience on automation, industrial process and control systems, PLC, measuring devices, instrumentation.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, OSHA, Six Sigma, Stationary Equipment – Level 3, certified millwright, licensed electrician) are a plus.
- Must have welding expertise
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and experience leading and following safety policies and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge in electrical, mechanical and technical aptitude; preventative maintenance.
- Computer experience is required.

Working Conditions:

- Primarily on-site role, with occasional office-based planning.
- May require occasional evening/weekend availability in case of emergencies or major repairs.
- Exposure to mechanical and electrical environments.
