Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the restaurant.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations, including cleaning and organizing work areas.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service workplace is preferred.
- Robust knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills within the food industry.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
