Job Overview:
All Critters Animal Hospital in Surrey, BC is looking for a Locum for a permanent full time position with us. We are looking to hire a team member comfortable with all manner of species as we do treat companion animals as well as some exotics.

Our hospital is fully equipped with up-to-date digital X-ray system, Class 4 Companion Duo laser therapy, a full Idexx Vetlab station, dental equipment, digital dental radiographs , and full surgical suite. We utilize Cornerstone in clinic, so some knowledge of this program would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, injuries, and diseases in animals.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, including spaying/neutering, tumor removals, cystotomies, foreign body removals and various other procedures.
- Prescribe medications and treatments to the patients.
- Provide vaccinations and preventive care to maintain the health of our patients.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, oral care, and disease prevention.




- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid Canadian veterinary license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases
- Experience in laboratory procedures for diagnosing illnesses in animals
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Compassionate nature and genuine love for animals
