Thornhill Child Care Society is currently recruiting a Family Child Care Consultant. The Consultant ensures that all Family Dayhome Standards and agency policies and procedures are met and/or exceeded within Thornhill Family Dayhome Agency. This is done through screening, monitoring, training, and supporting providers to maintain quality care by conducting monthly visits with Educators on your caseload. The consultant acts as a resource to children and their families within the program, continuing to support the child care arrangement while investigating concerns and working towards a mutually agreeable solution. The consultant helps to implement policies and procedures set by the Board of Directors.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director. Candidates should possess positive time management and organizational skills and be comfortable coaching and training adults. They must be able to set goals,
maintain confidentiality and work as a team member. A positive attitude and strong problem solving skills are necessary.
Qualifications:
- Child Development Supervisor (Level 3) Qualification Certificate
- Current First Aid
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and mediation skills
- Valid Driver's License and a reliable vehicle
- Flight curriculum framework training preferred or must be willing to obtain
