Prodigy Personnel is actively seeking individuals for several Forklift Operator positions for our busy client in Puslinch, ON. Successful candidates will be responsible for operating a Reach and/or Dockstocker forklift to pick cases and pallets and prepare them for loading.
MUST HAVE CURRENT/VALID REACH OR DOCK STOCKER CERTIFICATE.
Shifts:
- Days: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Afternoons: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- Nights: Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am
- Weekends: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00am to 7:00pm
- Weekends: Saturday, Sunday and Monday 7:00am to 7:00pm
* Please note there is a shift premium for the afternoon, night and weekend shifts as well as an opportunity to early a monthly performance bonus.
***You will be required to complete paid training for 2 weeks on day or afternoon shift.***
Responsibilities and Duties
- RF Scanning
- Picking cases and pallets for shipping
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility in cold storage
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instruction
- Checking loads are secure
- Stacking empty pallets
- Operate forklift in a secure manner
- Lifting up to 50lbs
- Palletizing, wrapping by hand or machine
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Forklift Certification for Reach Truck or Dock Stocker (current/up-to-date and in-house acceptable for the assessment portion)
- Previous Reach Truck OR Dock Stocker experience required (minimum 6 months)
- Must be comfortable working in a refrigerated/freezer environment (warm wear PPE provided) ranging from +2°C to -18°C.
- Must have own form of reliable transportation (location is not on the bus route)
- Must be comfortable completing a criminal background check
- Must be proficient in reading/writing English
- Previous experience in order picking and using RF scanner
All associates will begin their first two weeks on either the day or afternoon shift. During this onboarding period, they will complete orientation and training that includes health and safety, food safety/HACCP, LMS productivity systems, and site expectations and protocols.
Part of onboarding associates will start in a case-picking role using a dock stocker
