A. Resident Care

· Dispense medications as required/scheduled.

· Launder residents’ clothes as scheduled.

· Monitor changes in residents’ condition and behaviour and advise manager of changes.

· Document changes in progress notes

· Socialize with residents

· Encourage residents to stay in contact with family

· Use supplies wisely and economically. Inform manager when supplies running low or new items are required.

· Assist new residents with integration, introducing them to other residents and inviting to participate in activities, and helping them get into routines.

· Maintain a caring and interested attitude when dealing with residents and families.

B. Housekeeping Duties





· Complete cleaning according to checklist – includes hallways, washrooms, common areas, and kitchen.

· Launder linens and clothing as needed and scheduled.

· Ensure hallways and doorways are free from obstruction to prevent accidents

· Report need for repairs using form provided to the manager.

C. Kitchen Duties

· Serve evening snack

· Do nightly thorough clean of kitchen/dining room area as needed

· Assist with serving meals.

· Food preparation as instructed by cooks.

· Load dishwashers and run.

D. Security Duties

· Participate in emergency drills as required.

· Perform nightly security checks – including testing the fire system, emergency lighting

· Perform scheduled resident bed checks

Benefits:

- 12 hour shift

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.30 per hour
